FAQ – Frequently Asked Questions
Have a question about our services? Find answers to the most frequently asked questions below – or get in touch with us if you can’t find what you’re looking for.
How long does a windscreen replacement take?
Replacing a front windscreen usually takes around 3–4 hours. This includes both fitting the new glass and allowing the adhesive to cure. For rear and side windows, the service can often be completed faster (around 2 hours), depending on the vehicle model.
Can you drive your car normally after the windscreen has been replaced?
Yes. Once the service is completed, the car is ready to drive. However, for the first 24 hours we recommend avoiding automatic car washes and putting excessive strain on the bodywork, so the adhesive can reach its full strength.
Is windscreen replacement covered by insurance?
Yes. In many cases, the cost of replacing the windscreen can be covered by comprehensive insurance (AC), an AutoSzyba policy, or the liable party’s third‑party liability insurance (OC). Our specialists will help you verify your coverage and guide you through the entire process.
How long does a chip repair take?
Chip repair usually takes around 30 minutes. In most cases the service is completed in a single visit, so you can get back on the road quickly.
Can every type of windscreen damage be repaired?
No. A repair is possible if the damage has a diameter of up to around 22 mm, is located at least 10 cm from the edge of the glass, and is outside the driver’s direct field of vision. For larger damage or cracks, a replacement of the glass may be necessary. The final assessment is always carried out by our specialist.
What does a windscreen repair involve?
The damaged area is thoroughly cleaned and dried. Then the chip is filled with a special resin under pressure. After curing with UV light, the glass surface is polished to remove excess material and level the repaired area.
Does it matter how long ago the damage occurred?
Yes. The sooner you report the damage, the greater the chance of a successful repair. Over time, the chip can fill with dirt and moisture, which makes the service more difficult or can even make the repair impossible.
Is ADAS calibration necessary after a windscreen replacement?
If the vehicle is equipped with ADAS systems that use cameras or sensors mounted near the windscreen, calibration is required after the glass is replaced. This restores the correct operation of the safety and driver assistance systems.
Can ADAS calibration be performed independently of windscreen replacement?
Yes. We also offer ADAS system calibration as a standalone service. This is particularly useful after body repairs, collisions, or replacement of components that affect the position of cameras and sensors.

How is the film applied?
